Welcome to day 186 of 365 photos…these storm clouds taken tonight after dinner at the pier do not do justice to how the sky really looked. Yesterday, everything worked so well in the photo taking department and today I was disappointed. Post processing them didn’t help much but I have decided that I would still put them up tonight. After all, since this is a learning experience, not every photo that I take is going to be perfect. Suffice it to say that the sky was dark with the clouds and every once in a while a streak of lightening would make it’s way out of them. The wind was howling and the waves were pounding. It was exhilarating to be at the beach this evening and I wish my photos had captured that feeling. Hopefully, you will get some sense of what I was seeing. BTW, the pier looks empty in this photo but lots of folks were out there checking out the waves and the incoming storm.Camera: Nikon D7100 – Lens: Tokina 12-28mm

Glad that you stopped by my self-project of a photo a day for 365 days. If this is your first time to my site and you wonder what this 365 days of photos is all about, click HERE to read the original post. Settings are added to the photos so that I can remember what I’ve used and can see if any future photos done with other settings turn out better or worse. Remember, this project is all about my learning more about photography.
