Welcome to day 322 of 365 photos…Tis the season and holiday decorations are everywhere. No, it wasn’t raining today. I took this photo the other day in Swansboro and saved it to use today for the start of the Christmas season – that would be the start of the Christmas season in my mind. Retailers thought it started before October but most folks wait at least until Thanksgiving to decorate. This truck, with the wreath on the grill caught my eye. I stopped in the middle of an intersection, rolled down the window on the passenger side and snapped this photo. I thought the truck was old but Mr. B tells me that this is new and made to look old. Whatever – I like it!!

The photo that caught my eye for today was near where the first one was taken. The only decorations in this home are the candles in the windows but WOW!!–check out those berries growing on the fence. Talk about a natural decoration. I am not sure but it appears to look like the same plant in a photo that I took a few weeks back only that was a bush and not vine. I was told that from the photos, it could be Pyracantha. What ever it is, it makes for a natural looking Christmas decoration, don’t you think? I put my wreath and candles in the windows yesterday. Yep, tis the season! I am a big kid at this time of year. Have you started to decorate yet?
Glad that you stopped by my self-project of a photo a day for 365 days. If this is your first time to my site and you wonder what this 365 days of photos is all about, click HERE to read the original post. Settings are added to the photos so that I can remember what I’ve used and can see if any future photos done with other settings turn out better or worse. Remember, this project is all about my learning more about photography.
Check out E-liz Treasures to see what my friend in Maine is doing with her daily photos.
