Welcome to day 363 of 365 photos…Brrrrrr….it was cold here today. Not as cold as a lot of other states but cold for here. When I woke up the temperature outside was 15º. For just a minute, I thought I was back in Maine. *grin* Turned out to be a balmy 36º this afternoon. The nice thing about cold weather here is that it never stays all that long. Camera: Nikon D7100 – Lens: Nikon 18-300mm
Focal Length: 38mm – Aperture: f/4.8 – Shutter Speed: 1/15 second – ISO: 3200
The other neat thing that I saw was an ice Stalagmite growing out of the birdbath. I had one of these happen last year too but I am not sure why. The one last year was a similar shape and size. One would think that there is something above it that is dripping but there isn’t. I don’t know what causes it but I think it is kind of cool looking.Last but not least, is the photo of the fireplace in the living room. I almost threw this photo out but decided to show it anyway. It is a great night to have the fire burning. When I snapped the photo, I had it on a preset setting and the flash went off. When I looked at the photo just before I started this post, there was some weird light around the mantle. After studying it for about five minutes, I finally figured out what PROBABLY caused it. I think that the light from the flash must have bounced off of the glass on the top of the coffee table. That is all I can figure out. What do you think?I think I will go sit by the fire for a while. Brrrrrr…it’s cold outside!! Yep, it is warm in here but there is something about an open fire!!
Glad that you stopped by my self-project of a photo a day for 365 days. If this is your first time to my site and you wonder what this 365 days of photos is all about, click HERE to read the original post. Settings are added to the photos so that I can remember what I’ve used and can see if any future photos done with other settings turn out better or worse. Remember, this project is all about my learning more about photography.
Check out E-liz Treasures to see what my friend in Maine is doing with her daily photos.
